We are coming to you from Dadar, Mumbai, India -more specifically from Our Lady of Salvation Church.
On February 2, 1977 the late Cardinal Valerian Gracias, Archbishop of Bombay blessed the church and consecrated its new granite altar.
His Eminence paid public tribute to Msgr. F. X. Vaz who was parish priest for about 30 years and rendered selfless service to the church. He appealed to the people to contribute their mite and help Msgr. Theodore Pereira, who was Vicar at that time to furnish the church and bring it to completion. He also announced the donation of a tabernacle. Finally His eminence thanked Mr. Charles Correia, the Architect, Mr. P. G. Nair, the Engineer and Mr. Abbas Jasdenwalla, the builder.
Concelebrating the Mass with His Eminence were Bishop Longinus Pereira, Bishop Winnibald Menezes and Bishop Simon Pimenta, Msgr. William Nazareth, the Vicar General and the parish clergy. A large gathering of priests, nuns and laity were present at the beautiful ceremony.
